I’m furiously working away on a black and white series that I’m submitting to my church for their Holy Week “Walk to the Cross” so there’s no time to shoot, edit or print anything else. I realized as I was thumbing through some old images that I don’t think I ever showed you my favorite sunset of the past year. It happened in November and was a series of changing tones, colors and moods all rolled into one dazzling night. Here are a few of my favorites from that night…

Beautiful. The reflection is perfect.

Nice… And when you’ll learn to use bracketing and combining two differently exposed photos together to increase the dynamics, it’ll be awesome!
Just last night I was working on a red-toned sunset (and oh so badly missing CS3 instead of my Elements…) from 2005 and some swans from last spring. It’ll be a suggestion for a cover pic for the book Mr Right’s aunt is publishing.

Gorgeous colors – was this with your old camera?

Barbara: Thank you.
Eija: I know! I hope I have a good weekend where I can really work on learning the HDR process.
Dlyn: Yes, this was taken with the Canon Powershot S3 IS. It took some beautiful photographs but the pixel size just wasn’t big enough to satisfy me long-term. Their new model has 8 mp now so I’m sure it’s closer to a DSLR than my 6 mp version was.
