Frozen Feather
January 26, 2008 — HeyJulesIt finally rose above the bitter cold temperatures of the past two weeks so I bundled up and headed out to my favorite lake first thing this morning. What is normally a busy suburban lake full of ducks, Canada Geese and even a heron or two was nothing but an iced-over abandoned field. The only signs of the busy aviary landing strip was this lone feather, stuck frozen to a twig.

Cool - I’ll give you extra bonus points for the great composition!

Hey - birds get cold too, but I really love the feather. Great eye.

I’m loving watching you put your new lens through the paces!
Feathers always seem to find their way to me, and I can’t pass up a good feather photo–like this one. (Added you to my photoblog today, btw.)
